OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG STORYTELLERS IN NSW, AGED 14-18

Have you ever wanted to write and record your very own podcast episode?
Eerie Street is a podcast horror series written by young people around NSW. The stories are drawn from the very real locations that exist on the periphery of our lives and have been written and performed by writers aged 14-18.
In 2022, Matriark will release season 2 of Eerie Street and we’re looking for our next ensemble of writers. This ensemble will write and record their own horror podcast episode, receive writing mentorship and experience recording their work at a professional recording studio.
The program will consist of 4 workshops delivered online with recording taking place in Sydney in June.
The podcast will be released on October 31st, 2022.
Because of the nature of the program, we are encouraging young people from regional NSW to apply with costs associated with travel to Sydney covered by Matriark Theatre. We welcome applications from young people aged 14-18, especially First Nations people, people from ethnically diverse backgrounds, disabled people, and LGBTQIA+ people.
This is a fantastic and unique opportunity to get experience in broadcast media – don’t miss it!
Deadline for submission is midnight January 30th
